Traditionally read during Passover and in some homes each Shabbat, the Song of Songs is a romantic love poem. We think it's perfect to read during Tu B'Av, the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Av, and a day devoted to love. Here's some of our favorite lines.

"You are beautiful, my love, you are beautiful; your eyes are dove-like. You are handsome, my beloved, and pleasant."

"Behold my beloved, here he comes. He is leaping over the mountains, bounding through the hills. He is like a gazelle, a young stag … and he calls to me: “Arise my darling, my perfect one, come away with me!"

"My beloved is mine, and I am his; he feeds his flock among the lilies. When the day grows cool, and the shadows flee, return, my beloved, and be like a gazelle, or like a young deer, on the mountains of Bether."

"You have captured my heart, my own one, my bride. You have captured my heart, with one glance of your eyes, with one look at your décolletage. How sweet is your love, how much more delightful than wine!"
